This street corner watching is Amanohashidate, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan.
Taken on June 25, 2021.
It is said that the name “Amanohashidate” is derived from the fact that the terrain seen while looking through the crotch looks like a bridge over the heavens.
To see Amanohashidate, there are Amanohashidate Viewland near the new station and Kasamatsu Park, which you can take a ferry from the station.
Since the view is different, it seems that some people go to both.
I think you should choose depending on whether you have time or not.
I had some time, so I chose the Kasamatsu Park course.
Before getting on the ferry, I went to Chionji Temple, one of the three Buddhist temples in Japan.
Manju is the wisdom of Manju, and there is a wheel lantern of wisdom near the ferry terminal.
Take the ferry for 10 minutes.
Get off the ferry and walk to the cable car station.
You will arrive at Kasamatsu Park in about 4 minutes, but the origin is not the Amaterasu, which is right after you get off, but the crotch peep at Kasamatsu Park.
When you arrive at the park, you will see a magnificent Kasamatsu tree on your right.
On the way back, the opposite is true, connecting the cable car and the ferry.
If the weather is nice, we recommend watching on the upper deck of the ferry.
However, please note that there are no chairs on the deck.
You can fully enjoy Amanohashidate with this course alone.
This concludes the introduction of Amanohashidate.
