The street corner watching this time is “Fujiji” because it is a nearby area in the Corona disaster.
It is one of the scenic spots during Golden Week in the San’in region.
The official name of Toji is “Buddha Tsuyama Juunji
“.
The location is in Daisen Town, Saihaku District, Tottori Prefecture.
I thought I could see Daisen National Park from the precincts where the Fuji shelf is located, but I couldn’t.
In the distance, I was able to confirm the state of the Sea of Japan.
It was erected in the first year of Kenmu (1334) during the Nanbokucho period, when Emperor Go-Daigo and Nawa Nagatoshi, who were related to this area, were active.
It is about 670 years ago.
There are a total of four large wisteria trees in the precincts.
The tree is over 40 years old and its history is relatively short.
However, it is a kind of “Rokushaku wisteria” in which a bunch of flowers hangs down to 6 shaku (1.8m).
This is a valuable item that exists only in a few places throughout Japan.
For that reason, this place has become known nationwide as a famous place for wisteria.
During Golden Week, we hold the annual “Fuji Festival”.
At this time of spring, the wisteria flowers standing in the precincts are in full bloom.
Many spectators visit and enjoy beautiful cherry blossom viewing under the pale purple flowers hanging from the wisteria trellis.
This concludes the introduction of “Toji Temple”.
