“Hometown Series” -Wakasa Railway-

Wakasa-cho, Yazu-gun, Tottori Prefecture,
It is located at the southeastern end of Tottori Prefecture.
It borders the border between Hyogo and Okayama,
It is a town with a population of about 4,000.
40 minutes by car from Tottori city, which is the prefectural capital of Tottori prefecture,
55 minutes by train.
This train is operated by Wakasa Railway Co., Ltd.
Take over the Wakasa Line of the former JNR (between Wakasa Station and Kouge Station),
It is a railway operated as a third sector.
The scenery where one vehicle runs in the idyllic countryside,
It gives the illusion of looking at a diorama.

This time “Hometown series”
This Wakasa Railway will be delivered by the caster Sakura.
We will introduce “Wakasa Station,” which is the headquarters of Wakasa Railway Co., Ltd.,
It will be “Hayabusa Station” on the way.
Wakasa Station is covered with “Sakura,” a tree in the town.
You can see cherry trees everywhere in the town.
SL and old vehicles are also on display.
I feel that the station building has the unique atmosphere of the third sector.

The fifth station from Wakasa Station is here at Hayabusa Station.
It will arrive in about 25 minutes from Wakasa Station.
This is the station name that I often hear when talking to people outside the prefecture.
Those who talk about this station have one thing in common.
That means I like motorcycles.
There are many people who do not know local people,
There is a type of “Hayabusa” in Suzuki motorcycles.
I heard that “Hayabusa” name comes from the face of the falcon of birds.
Every year, August 8th is the day of “Hayabusa”,
It is a sacred place where “Hayabusa” riders gather.
Most stations of the Wakasa Railway
It is maintained in such a state.

This video was taken on April 4, 2020.
This is when the new Corona emergency declaration has not been issued yet.
The new Corona ended soon,
I would like “Hayabusa” riders all over the country to meet on August 8th.

Next time, “Hometown series”,
We will introduce “Iwayado”, an important cultural property of the country in the same Wakasa-cho.
