Hometown Series-Hakuto Coast-

This time, it will be the “Hometown series”.
One of the San’in Kaigan Geoparks, the same as Uradome Coast and Tottori Sand Dunes, is Hakuto Coast.
It is located on the coastline of Tottori city and is visited by many beach guests in summer.
There is a legend of the White Rabbit Legend on this Hakuto coast.
Okuninushino Mikoto saved a crying rabbit from a shark.
It is a myth that it is tied to a beautiful woman, “Yagami Hime”.
It is a story that remains in Kojiki, the oldest history book in Japan compiled over 1300 years ago.
This is the oldest love story in Japan.
The Hakuto Shrine is near the Hakuto coast.
In front of the torii gate of Hakuto Shrine, there is a statue of Okunininushino Mikoto and a white rabbit.

By the way, in the precincts of the shrine, there is Mitarashi Pond, which is said to have washed the body of white rabbits.
It is a mysterious pond where the water level does not change even during heavy rain and drought.
When you cross National Route 9 from the parking lot of Hakuto Shrine, the whole area is Hakuto Coast.
If you point the lens to the left side, you can see Okinoshima, which the white rabbit has crossed.
This place is certified as a sacred place for lovers.
I see many couples during the holiday season.
In front of the beach, there is a stone monument with a melody like Daikoku.
Please come by all means.
This concludes my introduction to Hakuto Coast.
