Hometown series-Uradomekaigan-

The “Hometown series” this time is “San’in Kaigan Geopark”.
Among them, we will introduce the scenic spots related to Tottori prefecture over three times.
“San’in Kaigan Geopark” is centered on “San’in Kaigan National Park”.
vThe area extends from the eastern edge of Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture to the western edge of Tottori City, Tottori Prefecture.
On October 4, 2010, at the conference held in Lesvos Island, Greece, the UNESCO World Geopark Network was approved.

This time, I would like to introduce the “Uradome Coast”.
“Uradome Coast” is a coastline at the border between Tottori and Hyogo prefectures.
It is located in Iwami-cho, Iwami-gun, Tottori prefecture and covers approximately 15km.
Designated as a national scenic spot, a natural monument,
“100 Famous Views of Japan”
“100 Selections of Japanese Hakusaseisyou”
“100 Selected Nagisa Beaches in Japan”
It has been selected as one of the “100 Heisei Japan tourist destinations”.
It is a natural scenic spot on the coast of the Sea of Japan.
In the western part of the coast, “cliffs of granite”, “odd rocks”, and “domon” continue due to the erosion of seawater.
The scenery of large and small islands and rocks scattered on the sea surface is similar to “Matsushima” in Miyagi Prefecture, so it is sometimes called “San’in Matsushima”.
vA standard sightseeing course is to take a pleasure boat and watch the coast from there.
Shallow sandy beaches spread in the eastern coast, and in the summer it is a popular beach.

Currently, the new Corona emergency is being declared.
There is no boat operation as it is a situation where we are going to go out unnecessarily and urgently.
This time we are shooting from the coast.
There are almost no human figures.
I hope that the new Corona will end soon.
This concludes the introduction of Uradome Kaigan.
Next time, we will introduce Tottori Sand Dunes.
